Dangerous luggage

We inform you that objects that may pose a risk to the health of passengers and crew cannot be transported. 

The following are considered dangerous objects:  

Image Dangerous luggage

Sharp or blunt objects

That can be used to intimidate, attack or endanger others.

Explosives

Including detonators, fuses, grenades and mines.

Gases

Including propane and butane. 

Flammable liquids

Including gasoline and methanol. 

Flammable solids and reactive substances

Including magnesium, firelighters, fireworks and flares. 

Oxidisers and organic peroxides

Including bleach and car body repair kits. 

Toxic or infectious substances

Including rat poison and infected blood. 

Radioactive material

Including medicinal or commercial isotopes. 

Corrosives

Including mercury and vehicle batteries.

Dry ice

Up to 2.5 Kgs. per person and only as special luggage.  

Lithium batteries

Lithium batteries may be carried in the checked luggage, provided they are installed in laptops, cameras, mobile phones or similar devices. These must be disconnected and you must ensure that they cannot be accidentally activated. 

Large lithium batteries must be packed and transported in the aircraft hold as Cargo, according to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. 

Dangerous objects

  • Vehicle fuel system components which have contained fuel. 
  • E-cigarettes. 
  • First Aid Kits. 
  • Ferromagnetic material. 
  • Car batteries. 
  • Spare batteries for electronic devices. 

Additional restrictions on less common items
